Your OpportunityStantec is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support the delivery of complex Ports and Marine Terminals projects across British Columbia. The role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with a robust team of planners, engineers and technologists on multiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients such as container terminals, oil and gas facilities, dry bulk ports, marinas, ferries, coastal structures, wharves, jetties, naval facilities and cruise terminals.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations and utilize relevant software programs including SAP
2000 to prepare analysis, design, and complex working drawings. - Perform structural engineering design tasks on assigned port and marine structures related projects.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents including drawings, reports, specifications and costs estimates, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
- Attend and assist in client/contractor/stakeholder meetings to gain a better understanding of client’s goals while identifying technical problems and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
- Contribute to technical proposal writing and other business development initiatives.
- Supports the growth of our business with a focus on the ports and marine terminals discipline in British Columbia, including proposal writing, business development activities, team coordination, and assisting project managers / project engineers.
- Some travel to project sites may be required from time to time.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
