The City of Vancouver is looking for a Civil Engineer I in its Sewers & Drainage Design Branch. This role emphasizes managing sewer infrastructure design, conducting inspections, and reviewing proposals. Candidates should have strong engineering fundamentals and exceptional organizational skills to ensure collaborative work with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete design reviews for storm and sanitary sewer projects
• Coordinate City-sponsored and developer projects
• Conduct field reviews to align with compliance standards
• Analyze pre and post-construction documentation
• Investigate flooding incidents and report findings
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer designation and 4 years' experience
• Deep understanding of sewer design and hydrology
• AutoCAD design software proficiency
• Strong report writing and communication skills
