Fibernx is hiring an R&D Flow Battery Engineer in Vancouver, BC, focusing on redox flow battery development. Contribute to pioneering energy storage technologies with an innovative team.
In this full-time, on-site role, you will lead hands-on design and optimization of redox flow battery cells. Your background in electrochemistry will enable you to analyze performance data, improve energy efficiency, and support the scaling of advanced energy solutions. Collaboration with various teams is key to succeed in enhancing battery performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and produce laboratory-scale redox flow battery cells
• Analyze charge–discharge cycling and impedance performance
• Optimize electrolyte formulations for better functionality
• Collaborate on integrating carbon materials into battery designs
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and share insights
Requirements:
• Master’s or PhD in relevant engineering or science fields
• Substantial hands-on experience with flow battery systems
• Strong skills in membrane and electrode analysis
• Competence in electrochemical performance optimization
• Effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills
