Join the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority as a Power Engineer overseeing key facility operations. Ensure continuous performance of mechanical and heating systems while promoting energy efficiency.
This position involves the operation, maintenance, and repair of various systems at Canada’s largest port. The ideal candidate will engage in system monitoring, emergency response, and preventive maintenance tasks, all while ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. A valid 4th Class Power Engineering certification along with experience in building operations is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor plant heating and cooling systems
• Track energy consumption and operational performance
• Respond promptly to service calls and system alarms
• Perform detailed inspections and identify potential issues
• Maintain accurate records and prepare performance reports
Requirements:
• Completion of a 4th Class Power Engineering certification
• At least 3 years of relevant experience required
• Expertise in HVAC and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
