Environmental Programs Lead in BC

Drive sustainability as the Environmental Programs Lead at West Fraser in British Columbia. You will support environmental compliance across multiple divisions in the lumber and manufacturing sectors.

In this senior role, you will lead and govern the development of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) while providing expertise in regulatory compliance and performance improvement. You will collaborate closely with approximately 10 divisions, enhancing environmental performance and sustainability goals across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee environmental programs and standards

• Provide strategic guidance on environmental compliance to Mill sites

• Offer interpretation and support for forestry operations

• Advise on program gaps and strategic performance opportunities

• Represent West Fraser in external industry organizations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field

• 10+ years managing environmental programs in industry

• Experience with Environmental Management Systems

• Strong communication and team-building skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and develop strategic plans
