As a Senior Cloud Database Engineer, you will lead database operations and performance optimizations. Your expertise will be vital in mentoring junior engineers while managing critical databases to ensure high availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Automate cloud database operations and maintenance processes
• Analyze and optimize database performance metrics effectively
• Collaborate on platform architecture and sharding projects
• Document technical designs and communicate decisions clearly
• Mentor and guide junior engineering staff as needed
Requirements:
• 5+ years in backend engineering roles focused on databases
• Proficient with AWS Aurora and engineering best practices
• Familiarity with IaaC, automation, and orchestration tools
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and job runners
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog
