Solid Waste Project Engineer

This full-time position invites a professional engineering graduate with three years' experience in public works and solid waste management. You'll coordinate projects, manage contracts, and develop technical specifications that align with objectives like Zero Waste 2040. Collaborate across departments and mentor junior staff to drive impactful waste programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage solid waste projects and contract administration
• Prepare technical infrastructure drawings and approvals
• Conduct cost/benefit analyses for waste programs
• Supervise junior staff and develop technical manuals
• Draft reports for Council on solid waste issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Applied Sciences or Engineering
• Minimum three years in municipal solid waste management
• Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training registration
• Strong project management and analytical skills
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
