The City of Vancouver seeks a Landfill GIS Technician (Engineering Assistant III) to enhance asset management datasets.
You'll work with GIS technology, analyze geospatial data, and support landfill management through effective decision-making. Your responsibilities will involve interpreting engineering documents and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure accurate data representation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and analyze data needs for landfill asset management
• Manage geospatial data and create informative maps
• Verify technical details and document field observations
• Update digital twin linkages in GIS systems
• Organize meetings and general administrative duties
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 with technical GIS courses
• Proficiency in ArcGIS and database management
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and asset management software
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
