Conveyance Engineer; Senior

In this role you will be responsible for project resourcing, business planning, and technical mentorship of engineers and technologists.

• Support the Water Group and Division Manager with the expansion of Associated’s Conveyance business in BC.
• Work with senior staff to identify project opportunities, lead proposal development, and manage project execution.
• Mentor Junior and Intermediate Engineers and Technologists.
• Assist the Water Group and Division managers with the resourcing of projects, business planning, revenue forecasting and career planning.
• Lead the Vancouver Water Division’s Conveyance Practice. This may include:
  Early identification and development of project opportunities through market intelligence and networking;
  Developing teaming relationships with specialist consultants and other partners to support proposal strategies.
• Lead the Pursuit, Design and Delivery of Conveyance projects and pursuits that may include:
  Large Diameter Water Mains, Forcemains, Gravity Sewers, Water, Wastewater and Drainage Pump stations, Trenchless projects.
• Involvement in the Civil Design for Reservoirs, Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities, and associated Valve Chambers and Hydraulic Control Structures.
• Participate in the recruitment of additional engineers and technologists as required.
• Connect and work with your colleagues across the country to support project resourcing and to build your network.
• Participate and take leadership role in Discipline Interest Groups and Communities of Practice.

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post secondary institution.
• Registered with EGBC as a P.Eng.
• 10+ years of experience in conveyance design, engineering, construction and management of which a minimum of 5 years is in a consulting capacity.
• Consulting and/or professional experience in B.C. is an asset.
• Experience in business development in both private and public sectors.
• Experience in liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Committed team player and an independent worker.
• Ability to travel across Canada.
• Possess a valid driver's licence.
