We’re working with an innovative AI and robotics company building advanced humanoid robots designed for real‑world industrial applications. Their mission is to develop safe, scalable, and highly capable robotic systems that augment human productivity across industries like manufacturing, logistics, and construction.
They’re looking for a Control Engineer with a focus on humanoid locomotion to help design and implement the next generation of mobility systems. This is a hands‑on role working closely with cross‑functional teams to bring cutting‑edge robotics from simulation to real‑world deployment.
What You’ll Do- Develop and implement control algorithms for humanoid robot locomotion (walking, balancing, stair navigation, recovery, etc.)
- Work with simulation tools to model robot dynamics, kinematics, and real‑world interactions
- Test and validate control systems in both simulated and physical environments
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and perception teams to integrate control systems into full robotic platforms
- Support continuous improvement of control performance, robustness, and efficiency
- Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field
- ~2–5 years of experience working with robotic control systems (humanoid or legged robots preferred)
- Solid understanding of control theory (PID, MPC, optimal control, etc.)
- Exposure to locomotion or balance control in robotics
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Mujoco, Isaac Sim, or similar)
- Programming experience in Python and/or C++
- Familiarity with sensors (IMUs, encoders, force/torque) and real‑time systems
- Exposure to reinforcement learning in robotics
- Understanding of legged robot dynamics (ZMP, balance control, etc.)
- Experience testing on physical robotic systems or hardware‑in‑the‑loop setups
- Familiarity with actuators, motor control, or system integration
- Work on cutting‑edge humanoid robotics with real‑world impact
