Drive environmental compliance with CN as an Environmental Impact Officer. Support permitting and project management while fostering stakeholder relationships in the Western Region.
In this Grade 9 role, you will collaborate with stakeholders and oversee environmental assessments for CN’s infrastructure projects. This position emphasizes compliance with regulations while ensuring minimal environmental impact and supporting wildlife management. Your technical leadership in permitting processes will enhance CN’s commitment to ecological responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with stakeholders on construction projects
• Assist in environmental assessments and mitigation efforts
• Plan and conduct field studies to support evaluations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and codes
• Provide technical guidance during environmental emergencies
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of environmental assessment experience
• Expertise in fisheries-related projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Familiarity with regulatory processes in British Columbia and Alberta
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
