Position: Officer of Environmental Compliance at CN
Drive environmental sustainability with CN as an Officer of Environmental Compliance. This role focuses on regulatory adherence and environmental assessments for key projects in the Western Region.
You will support the Western Region Manager by ensuring compliance for capacity expansion and maintenance projects. This Grade 9 position demands collaboration with contractors and consultants to achieve environmental approvals while fostering relationships with stakeholders. By ensuring sound environmental practices, your impact will resonate throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage environmental assessments and mitigation strategies

• Oversee contractor compliance and monitoring

• Conduct field studies and participate in environmental reviews

• Prepare necessary documentation for regulatory approvals

• Provide ongoing training to staff on environmental practices
Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant environmental experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline

• Solid understanding of environmental regulations in Canada

• Experience with marine and fisheries projects is a preference

• Ability to adapt to changing regulatory conditions
