Infrastructure Facilities Water/Wastewater Structural Engineer – Vancouver, BC

We are looking for an experienced structural engineer to design and analyse structural systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, and retaining structures. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high‑quality design solutions in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

• Lead structural design packages using engineering software, hand calculations, and design standards to deliver complete structural systems.
• Prepare markups in Bluebeam and coordinate with BIM teams to translate analytical work into models and drawings.
• Conduct site inspections for new construction, structural condition assessments and rehabilitation projects.
• Provide construction support including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and change management.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Architectural disciplines to integrate design solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, project exposure and professional development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural or Seismic Engineering an asset).
• 7+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in water/wastewater facilities in high‑seismic areas.
• Proficiency with industry‑standard structural analysis software (STAAD, S‑Frame, CSI suite) and familiarity with ACC and Revit.
• Strong engineering judgment, ethics and standard methodologies for complex projects.
• Ability to independently lead design packages and meet client deadlines.
• Comfortable conducting field assessments and site inspections.
• Valid driver’s license preferred for project travel.
