The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Senior Expeditor to support a major capital project currently entering a critical delivery phase.
This role will be responsible for leading expediting activities across a diverse portfolio of engineered equipment, fabricated packages, bulk materials and specialist supplier contracts. Working closely with procurement, engineering, quality, logistics and project delivery teams, you will ensure suppliers meet key milestones and contractual commitments, enabling successful project execution.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project procurement, supply chain or expediting professional who enjoys working in complex project environments where proactive problem solving and stakeholder management are critical to success.
The RoleKey responsibilities include:
- Leading expediting activities across engineering, fabrication, inspection and delivery phases.
- Developing and implementing expediting strategies aligned with project objectives and critical path requirements.
- Monitoring supplier progress and ensuring contractual delivery commitments are achieved.
- Reviewing supplier schedules against project milestones and identifying delivery risks.
- Proactively managing recovery plans and mitigation strategies for delayed equipment, materials or documentation.
- Coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, quality, logistics and materials management teams.
- Managing supplier performance and driving corrective actions where required.
- Supporting inspection activities and coordinating resolution of quality issues impacting delivery schedules.
- Ensuring shipping documentation, packing lists, release approvals and export documentation are complete and accurate.
- Maintaining robust reporting, schedule visibility and risk management processes across the supply chain.
Successful candidates will bring:
- Extensive experience in project expediting within mining, energy, infrastructure, industrial or large capital project environments.
- Experience managing supplier performance across engineering, manufacturing, inspection and logistics stages.
- Strong understanding of fabrication, manufacturing, engineered equipment and supply chain processes.
- Proven ability to manage complex delivery schedules and critical project milestones.
- Experience working with procurement, logistics, quality and project controls functions.
- Strong commercial awareness and contract administration understanding.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Advanced problem-solving capability with a proactive, risk-based approach.
- Experience using ERP and project delivery systems such as SAP, Ariba, Aconex or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills

Professional qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Logistics or Project Management will be highly regarded.
