Lead Geotechnical Engineer – Canada
As a Lead Geotechnical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for complex engineering projects across British Columbia, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for public and private sector projects.
Responsibilities- Lead geotechnical design and analysis for major infrastructure projects, including transportation, energy, civil infrastructure, and urban development.
- Deliver advanced soil‑structure interaction studies and foundation engineering solutions that ensure safety and resilience.
- Collaborate with project managers, interdisciplinary teams, and clients to develop strategies that meet technical, environmental, and financial objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Drive innovation in geotechnical practices, integrating cutting‑edge technologies and sustainability principles into project delivery.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
- 12+ years of consulting experience in geotechnical engineering and project leadership.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia (or eligibility for registration).
- Demonstrated success in client engagement, business development, and revenue growth.
- Technical knowledge of geotechnical engineering, including deep foundations, shallow foundations, slope stability, earthquake engineering, retaining walls, earth retention, settlement of compressible soils, ground improvement techniques, support of excavation, dewatering, etc.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 – $162,800
- MB & ON: $112,100 – $154,400
- NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $111,000 – $147,400
