Position: YVR Senior Environmental Specialist Role
Drive YVR's environmental initiatives as a Senior Environmental Specialist in the Climate and Environment department until May 2027. Contribute to sustainability and waste management efforts.

This full-time opportunity invites a seasoned environmental professional with 7 to 10 years of experience to lead multifaceted environmental projects. You will develop programs that align with YVR’s ambitious zero-waste goal, while engaging with airport employees and community representatives to achieve impactful results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead waste management strategy and initiatives

• Conduct environmental awareness training for teams

• Develop water conservation and reduction strategies

• Monitor budget and project timelines effectively

• Collaborate with various stakeholders for program success

Requirements:

• 7 to 10 years in an equivalent environmental role

• Degree in Science, Environmental Studies, or Engineering

• Professional environmental designation preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of environmental legislation
