Join WSP’s BC Buildings Technology Team as a Building Information Technologist, where you’ll contribute to impactful IT and Security infrastructure projects that support communities, clients, and critical facilities across the region.
This role offers hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Your Impact
Support the planning, design, and delivery of BIM and security infrastructure systems, including structured cabling, networks, and technology platforms.
Assist with contract administration for cabling, network, and technology systems.
Prepare access control, CCTV, and intercom layouts for a range of project types.
Contribute across all project phases, from concept design through construction administration and closeout.
Implement design markups into Revit and AutoCAD drawings with accuracy and attention to detail.
Help develop client‑facing technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and design narratives.
Participate in technical and project meetings with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Collaborate closely with the Building Technologies team and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
The Skills That Set You Apart
A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.
Experience using Revit and AutoCAD in a technical design environment.
Ability to interpret and review technical design and construction drawings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional, client‑facing deliverables.
Comfort working both independently and collaboratively within project teams.
Flexibility to adapt to varying project needs and work environments.
Ability to obtain Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) Level 2 security clearance and work in secure environments.
A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for travel to client sites in an asset.
Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 – $88,400
MB & ON: $60,900 – $83,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $60,300 – $80,000

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
