Drive the Exploration Phase for Teck Resources in Alaska as the Underground Mine Manager. This hybrid position demands in-depth expertise in underground mining and project execution.
As a senior project management professional, you will oversee the development of twin declines for the Mine Life Extension Project at the South Portal. This role requires a commitment to safety, as you will be accountable for all aspects of project delivery, including planning, execution, and contractor oversight. You'll need a minimum of 15 years' experience in underground hard-rock mining to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures
• Lead technical development and value engineering workshops
• Monitor contractor performance and project budgets
• Guide constructability reviews and design rationalization
• Manage underground infrastructure commissioning
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 15 years experience in underground mining
• Proven leadership in large capital mining projects
• Experience managing contractor performance
• Strong understanding of mine services and operations
