Mineit Consulting seeks a dedicated Principal Mining Engineer (PENG) for a full-time role in Vancouver, BC. Spearhead innovative mine planning, oversee technical evaluations, and provide strategic insights.

In this on-site position, you will be integral to leading complex mining projects from initial assessments to advanced engineering. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and mentoring junior engineers. You'll also engage closely with clients, prepare NI 43-101 reports, and contribute to critical business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee mine planning studies and technical analyses

• Develop and review production plans and mine designs

• Mentor and guide multidisciplinary teams and junior staff

• Manage resource evaluations while ensuring regulatory compliance

• Assist with client relationship management and proposals

Requirements:

• Over 10 years of mining engineering experience

• P.Eng or eligible for professional registration in BC

• Expertise in coal mining regulations and processes

• Strong analytical skills for evaluating technical risks

• Proficient in mine planning design software
