In this Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer position at WSP, you will utilize over a decade of experience to manage design projects from inception to deliverables. You will supervise geotechnical assessments, innovative engineering solutions, and the optimization of excavation strategies in challenging geological conditions. Your leadership will enhance technical quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage design for tunneling and stabilization from start to finish
• Review and direct geotechnical investigations and alignment assessments
• Conduct risk mitigation and constructability evaluations
• Collaborate with clients and project teams on scope alignment
• Provide oversight for engineering outputs and documentation
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in rock mechanics and ground engineering
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering
• Extensive experience with large-scale tunnel projects
• Skills in technical writing and analysis software
• Membership in Engineers & Geoscientists BC required
