Enhance urban sustainability as an Engineering Assistant III with the City of Vancouver. Engage in drafting, technical tasks, and site inspections critical for community projects.
This auxiliary position within Engineering Services focuses on Green Rainwater Infrastructure design and implementation. You will work alongside engineers, prepare construction drawings, and ensure compliance with design standards. The Engineering Assistant III will also conduct inspections and collaborate with stakeholders to support crucial urban projects in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed design drafts for environmental projects
• Inspect construction sites and write comprehensive reports
• Compile contract packages and manage procurement processes
• Maintain project documentation in compliance with quality standards
• Support green infrastructure data inventory updates
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 and relevant post-secondary education
• Prior experience in engineering fields or landscape architecture
• Skilled in AutoCAD, Map Info, and graphic design tools
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
• Capable of working in varying weather conditions
