Shape Canada's industrial future with WSP as an Intermediate Electrical Engineer in Vancouver, BC. You'll design electrical systems crucial for mining and heavy industry operations.
As part of WSP’s Resources subsector, you'll lead innovative electrical designs for new and existing projects. Your expertise will support industries to function efficiently, safely, and reliably by applying your skills to hazardous environments and using advanced modeling tools. Emphasizing collaboration, you will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design power distribution and control systems for industrial use
• Conduct load flow and short-circuit studies with specialized tools
• Prepare specifications for key electrical components
• Oversee design accuracy through field evaluations
• Mentor junior engineers to foster talent and growth
Requirements:
• 5+ years in electrical engineering for heavy industries
• P.Eng. designation in BC preferred
• Strong knowledge of relevant engineering standards
• Experience with power system modeling tools
• Valid driver’s license for site visits
