As Chief Mine Engineer, you’ll oversee engineering planning, ventilation, and geotechnical projects to meet regulatory and production targets. Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager, your responsibilities will encompass technical leadership and comprehensive coordination of mining operations.
Your role is essential in maintaining the mine’s operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement mine engineering policies
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Collaborate with teams for effective mine infrastructure planning
• Monitor engineering activities and provide expertise
• Engage in risk assessment initiatives for site safety
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering required
• 10+ years in underground mines; 5+ in a supervisory role
• Knowledge of mine design software essential
• Class 5 driver’s license needed
• Effective communication at all levels
