Mining Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Provide process design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front‑end engineering and detailed design.
Develop, improve and promote the effective use of operations systems (i.e. JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, Dochub).
Troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
Develop process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria.
Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat & material balances and P&IDs.
Size process equipment and develop specifications.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Stay up‑to‑date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes.
Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines).
5 – 10 years of relevant process engineering design experience.
Must have EGBC designation, or be in the process of obtaining a Professional Engineering designation.
Prior experience in an engineering or consulting firm.
In‑depth knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies in the mining industry.
Chemical and mineral processing experience highly desired.
Good communication skills with well‑developed written and oral communication.
Proven ability to work as part of a team.
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Salary range: $105K – $135K (based on education, experience, skills, location and market conditions).
