Building Code Engineer

Become a Building Code Engineer with the City of Vancouver, focusing on building safety and compliance. This full-time role involves complex technical decision-making for building and fire regulations.

As a Building Code Engineer, you will ensure adherence to the Vancouver Building By-law and the Fire By-law. You will manage the sprinkler permit process and provide technical insights to project coordinators, professionals, and the general public. Key Responsibilities:

• Authorize and oversee sprinkler and building permit issuance

• Manage sprinkler permit applications with technical reviews

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil, Fire Protection, or Mechanical Engineering
