Dream Photonics, a Vancouver-based startup, is seeking an Optical Test Engineer to enhance its photonic manufacturing technology. You will support the testing and characterization of photonic integrated circuits, lasers, and optical fibers. This role requires a keen analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for instrument control and data processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize optical measurement apparatus for manual and automated characterization

• Develop Python scripts for instrument control and automation

• Execute data analysis using Num Py, Pandas, and Sci Py

• Author technical documentation including test plans and reports

• Collaborate with design teams on test requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field

• Minimum 3+ years in optical or photonic component characterization

• Hands-on experience with electronics test equipment

• Proficiency in Python for analysis and automation

• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
