Join Proxxi as a Mechanical Engineering Specialist and lead the innovation of wearable safety technology. This position is based in our Gastown office and involves hands‑on engineering tasks. We are excited to hire a Mechanical Engineer who will spearhead the mechanical design process.
Key Responsibilities- Handle injection mold tooling, design for manufacturing, and testing.
- Create CAD designs from initial concepts.
- Conduct assembly tolerance stack‑ups.
- Ensure products meet IP67 waterproofing standards.
- Develop the required tooling drawings for injection molding.
- Manage mechanical design testing and quality inspections.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external designers, ensuring effective transitions from concept to production.
- BSME or an equivalent qualification; MSME preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience with NPI processes.
- Robust skills in Fusion 360 or Solid Works.
- Experience with waterproofing techniques for devices.
