Basilisk Industries is seeking a skilled accelerator physicist to join a small, dynamic team focused on revolutionizing mining and drilling technologies. This role encompasses both theory and practical experimentation, with an even split between simulation and hands-on work. Aiming for rapid progress, the team is set on producing functional high-energy beams for critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and simulate beam physics and cathode engineering
• Conduct hands-on assembly and testing of hardware
• Collaborate across theory and experimental work
• Utilize electron gun and pulsed power system expertise
• Drive innovations in high-power beam systems
Requirements:
• Graduate-level degree in accelerator or beam physics
• Experience with electron guns and beam transport systems
• Familiarity with relevant simulation codes is advantageous
• A proactive attitude and generalist skill set
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
