Intermediate Building Analyst, Energy Modeling

Job Summary

The Intermediate Building Analyst will perform whole building energy simulation with a variety of building energy modeling software under the supervision of more experienced staff. They will deliver simulation results and reports to clients, contractors, and authorities.

• Perform annual building energy and parametric simulation for various building types across multiple software platforms (e.g., eQuest, IESVE, Energy Plus).
• Prepare required reports for submission to clients and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Coordinate with internal and external design team members as required.
• Assist in training junior staff and review their work.

• Familiarity with building energy codes and green building standards including ASHRAE, NECB, LEED, CaGBC Zero Carbon, Passive House, BC Energy Step Code, Toronto Green Standard.
• Proficient understanding of MEP systems and architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling software.

• Minimum 3 years in energy modeling or design analytics.
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Registered as EIT with ability to apply for P.Eng.
• Desirable credentials: BEMP, LEED AP, CPHC/D.
• Experience in energy audits and programming tools is a plus.

Introba offers a base compensation range of $75,000–85,000 annually, commensurate with local market.
