Responsibilities- Early scoping, planning, innovation, execution, control, and closeout of small to medium‑sized projects.
- Create complete project schedule and planning documents including effort estimates, resource requirements, and capital costs.
- Project execution according to the approved project plan and schedule.
- Actively monitor project progress, track outstanding issues and risks and their mitigation plans, follow up on action items, and provide timely project status updates.
- Actively manage and support cross‑departmental project teams and technical leaders, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality deliverables.
- Work with manufacturing teams to plan and coordinate prototype production.
- Coordinate project dependencies across teams with other Hardware, Firmware and Software project managers.
- Liaise with 3rd‑party vendors and suppliers as appropriate.
- Maintain project documentation over the life of the project.
- Evolution of project management processes to ensure an efficient project lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- Solid understanding of NPI projects and Product Lifecycle Management.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a hardware project or program management role.
- PMP certificate is considered a plus.
- Background in hardware (mechanical, electrical, firmware) design and development.
- Ability to plan and work in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Experience developing formal project deliverables, reports, charts, status updates, executive summaries, and presentations.
- Understanding of software development and dependencies in relation to hardware delivery.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and concise updates to project sponsors and senior management.
- Proficient use of engineering change management tools such as Agile PLM (a plus).
- Proficient use of issue tracking and wiki‑based tools; familiarity with Atlassian tools is considered a plus.
$70,000 CAD – $90,000 CAD
Basic RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering AND 4+ years of experience in a hardware project or program management.
