Responsibilities- Supervise and provide guidance/assistance to project designers
- Develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline design work
- Develop estimates and schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, including workforce forecasts
- Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
- Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
- Analyse and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organisation and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
- Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty (20) years of work‑related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty‑two (22) years if non‑degreed (some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements)
- Ten (10) years’ experience in an EPC or EPCM environment
- Mineral processing experience
- Instrumentation field experience is preferred
- Understanding of codes and governing regulations and industry practices
- Understand and support other disciplines’ tasks and deliverables
- Micro Station proficiency
- Smart Plant Instrumentation experience an asset
- Competent in English and possess good written and oral communication skills
- Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e‑mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi‑task between several projects
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner
