Join BBA’s Vancouver office and contribute to the delivery and evolution of our instrumentation, control systems, and digital services offering. In this role,you will work as a technical consultant and trusted advisor. We are looking for professionals who are interested in evolving as doer‑sellers: individuals who lead by example through strong technical work and who, over time, contribute to identifying opportunities,supporting proposals, and strengthening client relationships.
Your primary focus will remain hands‑on technical delivery, while progressively expanding your involvement in client interactions, opportunity development, and proposal support.
- Lead instrumentation, control systems, and automation scopes, including scope definition, budgets, schedules, and delivery tracking
- Serveas a primary technical interface with clients, building trusted relationships and supporting long‑term account development
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables in accordance with BBA and client standards (e.g., P&IDs, specifications, drawings, network and panel designs)
- Design,integrate, program, and commission PLC, HMI, DCS, and industrial communication systems
- Contribute to proposal development through scope definition, cost estimating,scheduling, and technical positioning
- Performsite support activities including inspections, troubleshooting, testing,and commissioning in Canada and abroad

- Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic, or Instrumentation &Controls Engineering
- 8+years of relevant consulting or industrial experience
- Hands‑on experience programming and commissioning control systems (ABB, Honeywell,Schneider/Modicon, Rockwell, etc.)
- Abilityto prepare, review, and interpret logic diagrams, functional specifications, control narratives
- Experience with industrial networks (Ether Net/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting, commissioning, and system integration experience
- Experience delivering projects in the Mining, Industrial, or Energy sectors
- Willingness to travel to client sites locally and internationally
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Strong organizational skills and professional judgment
- Registered with EGBC as a P.Eng
- Annual base salary from $121,200 to $160,000
