Your OpportunityStantec is seeking a CAD Designer to support the delivery of complex Ports and Marine Terminals projects across British Columbia. The role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with a robust team of planners, engineers and technologists on multiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients such as container terminals, oil and gas facilities, dry bulk ports, marinas, ferries, coastal structures, wharves, jetties, naval facilities and cruise terminals.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of structural engineering principles and strong technical skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical tasks on projects under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Engineer.
- Transform preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and other technical software as required.
- Ensure adherence to AutoCAD standards, as well as quality assurance and quality control procedures during drawing, planning, and production.
- Contribute to team meetings, design collaborations, project schedule estimations, and coordinate findings with others involved in projects.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature as assigned.
