As a System Safety Specialist, you will enhance safety processes integral to rail and transit projects. You'll support hazard management, risk assessments, and safety requirement definitions while collaborating with internal design teams and stakeholders. This role is crucial for ensuring reliable and compliant transportation systems nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain hazard management processes
• Collaborate with project teams on risk control actions
• Assist in hazard identification using HAZID and FTA
• Review safety evidence to ensure compliance
• Contribute to System Safety Reports and documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 2-5 years in system or functional safety
• Familiarity with risk assessment methods
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills
• Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations
