The role of the HSE Advisor involves performing general health, safety, and environmental duties, including conducting morning safety briefings and operational updates. The position requires building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, closely collaborating with the operational team, and reporting health and safety issues to the global group. The role also involves aligning with global policies and procedures to ensure a unified approach and acting as a connective tissue between global and Canadian operations.

Additionally, the HSE Advisor will support the Canadian operations team with implementing a global Integrated Management System (IMS) that encompasses quality, environmental, health, safety, and information security.

Additionally, the HSE Advisor will support the Canadian operations team with implementing a global Integrated Management System (IMS) that encompasses quality, environmental, health, safety, and information security.

• Conduct morning safety briefings and operational updates.
• Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Report health and safety issues to the larger global group.
• Align local practices with global policies and procedures.
• Support the implementation of a global Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Ensure compliance with BC and Canadian regulations.
• Participate in toolbox talks and conduct control of work risk assessments.
• Manage permitting for permitted activities and hazard identifications.
• Elevate safety concerns and report safety observations and near-miss incidents.
• Provide operational support on safety behaviors and learning.
• Coordinate training for BC commitments like chemical first aid and fire marshal training.

• Professional certification equivalent to NEBOSH or CRSP in Canada.
• Experience with management systems, specifically ISO 9001.
• At least five years of experience in HSE within a manufacturing environment.

• Preferred experience in warehousing, oil and gas, highly regulated commercial builds, or the airline/airport industry.

The role requires working fully on-site with some potential for remote work depending on business demands. This dynamic role offers an opportunity to make a lasting impact as systems are built out and provides a high level of ownership.

This is a Permanent position based out of Vancouver, BC.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
