BC Principal Hydrotechnical Engineer Role

Take the lead as a Principal Hydrotechnical Engineer with WSP, focusing on innovative and resilient water systems in British Columbia. Your work will significantly impact local ecosystems and community infrastructure.

In this position, you will leverage over 15 years of hydrotechnical consulting experience to deliver complex projects across Western Canada. Drive sustainable practices while engaging in watershed modelling and hydraulic analysis, contributing to vital municipal and provincial initiatives. Develop future leaders by mentoring junior engineers and connecting with clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical design for water infrastructure projects

• Conduct watershed and hydraulic modelling for decision support

• Cultivate business opportunities and client relationships

• Provide senior guidance on water resource projects

• Mentor and develop upcoming engineering talent

Requirements:

• Engaged in Civil or Environmental Engineering

• Registered or eligible P.Eng. with EGBC

• 15 years in hydrotechnical or water resource consulting

• Skilled in hydraulic modelling tools

• Understanding of BC's regulatory context
