Senior Protection & Control Engineer

Become a Senior Protection & Control Engineer with Stantec in Vancouver, Canada, focusing on high voltage substations and renewable energy projects. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create impactful engineering designs.
This role within Stantec’s Western Canada Power Delivery team allows you to work on unique challenges in electrical design and project management. You will engage with substations, develop electrical drawings, and design protection schemes for projects ranging from 5kV to 500kV. Your contributions will impact client success and drive clean energy advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop P&C engineering drawings for substations

• Design protection schemes, relay settings, and control room layouts

• Prepare comprehensive P&C engineering design packages

• Perform QA/QC reviews of designs and deliverables

• Prepare technical reports to communicate engineering concepts
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• 12+ years of P&C experience in North America

• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and client standards

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office

• Eligible for professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC
