Mechanical Layout Designer - Mining Projects

This position is ideal for a motivated design professional with five or more years of experience in mechanical layout and engineering. You will lead projects, mentor junior designers, and work with CAD tools such as Smart 3D. Collaborating closely with clients and colleagues, you will enhance project coordination and contribute significantly to the success of the mining sector projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and detail complex mechanical layouts for mining operations

• Perform calculations for design accuracy and functionality

• Facilitate quality design reviews and inspections on-site

• Oversee drafting management and project schedules

• Strengthen collaboration within the Mechanical Engineering team

Requirements:

• Diploma in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent

• Minimum of 5 years in mechanical design for mining

• Proficient with CAD tools including Solid Works and AutoCAD

• Experienced in EPC/EPCM environments

• Willingness to perform site work when necessary
