Join Bridgemans Services Group as Chief Engineer, responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of a passenger transfer vessel. This position is rotational and based in Vancouver & Squamish, focusing on safety and compliance management.
As Chief Engineer, you will take charge of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on the vessel.
Your role includes monitoring machinery performance, guiding the engineering team, and ensuring adherence to maritime safety regulations. Your leadership will enhance operational excellence and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct maintenance and repairs of vessel equipment
• Implement preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment
• Enforce compliance with safety protocols and maritime standards
• Manage engineering budgets and inventory controls
• Prepare and maintain reports related to operations
Requirements:
• Valid Second-Class Engineer certificate recognized by Transport Canada
• Extensive experience in maritime engineering roles
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken
• Computer skills and successful drug test clearance
• Capability to meet physical job demands
