Mechanical Equipment Designer​/Drafter Position

Atkins Realis is hiring an Intermediate Mechanical Equipment and Piping Designer/Drafter in Vancouver, BC. Embrace a hybrid work model while enhancing your skills in the hydropower and industrial sectors.

This position requires an experienced Designer/Drafter who can produce high-quality mechanical designs and drawings using industry-standard software. You will work with a diverse team on domestic and international projects, ensuring alignment across disciplines. Your design work will directly support the construction phase and operational efficiency of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D models and maintain mechanical drawings

• Ensure multidisciplinary coordination of mechanical designs

• Lead BIM model reviews and resolve conflicts

• Prepare engineering drawing packages for review

• Perform quality checks on completed designs

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design, or similar

• Minimum of 5 years in industrial mechanical design

• Proficient in CAD tools:
Revit, AutoCAD, Solid Works

• Strong background in hydropower equipment design

• Fluent in English with strong technical communication skills
