In this pivotal role, you will need a four-year degree and a minimum of four years' experience in fire design projects to meet job demands. You will focus on specifying, designing, and coordinating fire suppression systems to ensure safety and compliance with rigorous standards including NFPA and the National Building Code of Canada. Your project management skills will play a key role in the effective delivery of quality fire protection services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and specify fire suppression systems meeting regulatory standards
• Produce technical documentation and design specifications
• Collaborate interdepartmentally for project success
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of fire protection designs
• Offer technical mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements:
• Four years of relevant experience or equivalent education
• Experience with sprinkler and hazard suppression systems
• Proficiency in CAD similar tools like Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong interpretative skills of engineering codes
• Ability to manage time effectively on project tasks
