Lead Design Engineer - High Voltage Substations

In this pivotal role, you will guide the development of high and medium voltage substation designs for an expanding portfolio of projects. You’ll collaborate closely with utilities and EPC contractors, ensuring that all designs meet rigorous standards of reliability and scalability. Your leadership will directly impact the growth of data center capabilities across Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide design of HV/MV substations ranging 12kV–287kV
• Perform engineering studies including load flow and grounding
• Develop rapid deployment design templates
• Oversee external consultants dedicated to substation projects
• Support commissioning and testing across multiple disciplines
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems favored
• 7–10 years’ progressive engineering experience
• Proven history of delivering substation projects successfully
• Deep understanding of physical design and standards
• Skill with ETAP, SKM, PSCAD or similar tools
Utilize your engineering skills to impact AI infrastructure through advanced substation design in Vancouver.
