McElhanney is hiring an Intermediate Water Resources Engineer in Vancouver, Victoria, or Nanaimo, BC. Focus on providing engineering solutions for hydrotechnical and civil projects while developing your project management capabilities.
This position is perfect for an experienced engineer eager to lead water resources projects across British Columbia. You will take on a variety of tasks, from technical assessments to project coordination, and contribute to both client engagement and business development strategies. Key Responsibilities:
• Direct engineering designs for stormwater and flood modeling projects
• Create and critique technical drawings and design specifications
• Manage project activities including budgeting and client outreach
• Engage in field investigations and construction services
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members
Requirements:
• Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering
• 6+ years of experience in consulting practices
• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in BC
• Solid public speaking and technical reporting skills
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage project demands
