What You'll Do

As a Senior Game Designer, you will help shape the player experience at a foundational level. Reporting to the Senior Creative Director, you will collaborate across design, product, engineering, animation, art, and production to translate creative vision into high‑quality gameplay systems and features. You will operate as both a hands‑on designer and a design leader—raising the bar for craft, clarity, and execution across the team.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Creative and Product leadership to help define and champion the vision for core gameplay experiences and systems.
  • Lead the design and execution of major features or experience pillars from concept through implementation and polish.
  • Drive clarity by producing high‑quality design documentation, prototypes, and implementation plans.
  • Elevate design quality across the team by providing thoughtful feedback, leading critiques, and mentoring other designers.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Animation, Art, and Production to ensure features are feasible, aligned, and delivered at a high standard.
  • Balance creative ambition with production realities, making informed trade‑offs that preserve player experience.
  • Use player insights, playtest feedback, and market understanding to inform iteration and decision‑making.
  • Advocate for player‑first design decisions that align with franchise and business objectives.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional game design experience, with meaningful ownership of shipped console or AAA titles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the design of complex gameplay systems or major features.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to design cohesive player experiences.
  • Experience mentoring designers and contributing to team‑level design standards.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross‑discipline and influence direction without direct authority.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous spaces and helping bring structure to evolving creative goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
