Senior Animator at Industrial Light & Magic

Be part of the magic at Industrial Light & Magic Vancouver as a Senior Feature Animator for the animated musical 'Oh, the Places You'll Go!'. Shape character performances and bring whimsical creatures to life.

This hybrid role requires a seasoned animator to contribute to a highly anticipated film, scheduled for a 2028 release. You will collaborate closely with directors Jon M. Chu and Jill Culton to deliver stellar character-driven performances. This position is crucial for animating complex shots and mentoring less experienced animators, ensuring stylistic consistency throughout production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Animate a diverse cast of characters and creatures

• Execute direction from Lead Animator and Animation Supervisor

• Own complex shots from initial blocking to final animation

• Supervise entry-level and mid-level animators

• Provide feedback during dailies and mentor new animators

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Feature Animation experience

• College diploma or 7+ years of experience in lieu of education

• Expert knowledge of animation principles and software

• Proficiency with Maya;
Linux knowledge is a plus

• Strong organizational and communication skills
