The Role

As an Experience Designer on EA SPORTS FC, Live Platform, you will partner closely with product managers, producers, engineers, and fellow designers to create meaningful, high-impact experiences within FC’s live service. This role is deeply embedded in the shipped (live) product, designing within real constraints to thoughtfully integrate live events, seasonal content, partnership opportunities and real-world moments. You’ll own design and design integration across multiple layers of the player’s experience, balancing creative exploration with practical execution.

What makes this role unique is its focus on designing for what players experience today, helping define future roadmap for Live Platform experience, bringing creativity, coherence, and player meaning to a constantly evolving live game.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in game development or product design
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to connect form and function into intuitive and scalable experiences.
  • Strong visual craft across UI, typography, and composition, with the ability to create polished, engaging, premium-quality player experiences
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe Suite, or similar)
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to design within existing frameworks and constraints
  • Experience working with, contributing, or creating design systems
  • Solid foundation in typography, layout, composition, and interaction patterns
  • Strong storytelling, presentation, and design rationale skills, with the ability to clearly communicate creative decisions, align stakeholders, and advocate for player-centric solutions
  • Ability to independently drive design initiatives from concept to implementation within a complex live-service environment, balancing creative ambition with production realities
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally across a large organization

Pay Transparency - North America Compensation and Benefits

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

Pay

Ranges
  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) $104,500 - $142,800 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
