Theatre Operations Manager

Take the lead at Arts Umbrella as the Theatre Operations Manager in Vancouver. This full-time role focuses on managing daily theatre operations and collaborating with artistic teams for successful productions.

As the Theatre Operations Manager, you will oversee facilities while ensuring operational effectiveness at Arts Umbrella. Your theatre experience will be pivotal in guiding logistics and supervising staff effectively. Play an integral part in creating memorable events and performances by working closely with programming personnel and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure theatre spaces and equipment are well-maintained

• Coordinate events and rehearsals with creative teams

• Support Scene Shop operations and staff onboarding

• Develop and manage operational budgets efficiently

• Lead training and provide daily support for theatre staff

Requirements:

• Over 3 years’ experience in theatre or performing arts

• Technical Theatre education preferred, but not required

• Proficient in theatre production and backstage practices

• Experience supervising and scheduling theatre staff

• Effective budget and compliance management skills
