Role Overview

Join EA's Create Audio team as an Audio Artist and immerse yourself in crafting world‑class soundscapes for ambitious projects. This temporary, full‑time role offers the chance to collaborate with core game teams and audio experts, pushing the boundaries of game audio. You'll be at the forefront of audio design and implementation, creating immersive experiences that captivate players. This is a 6‑month temporary contract. You'll work in a hybrid environment at our Vancouver or Montreal office, reporting to the Development Director. If you're driven to deliver exceptional audio experiences, we want to see your resume and demo reel!

Responsibilities
  • Design and support high‑quality SFX across a variety of features for the skate title.
  • Implement, tune, and test audio features in game using established tools and pipelines.
  • Edit and master music tracks and VO/Speech content.
  • Collaborate with design, animation, VFX, and audio leadership to align audio with the game vision.
  • Identify and resolve audio‑related issues within the game.
  • Guide the design and implementation approach for owned features or content.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of game audio and/or post‑production experience.
  • Working knowledge in using game audio authoring tools and pipelines (Wwise, FMOD).
  • Strong knowledge of Reaper or Nuendo.
  • Experience supporting multiple areas of game audio: SFX, music implementation, VO/Speech editing, or related audio content workflows.
  • At least one shipped game demonstrating SFX design and implementation for a gameplay feature.
  • Understanding of visual programming (Unreal, Pure Data, Max MSP, Reaktor) and scripting (Python, Lua).
  • Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Perforce).
  • Artistic, creative, and technical sensibilities.
  • Provide a link for a demo reel in your application.

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be based on business and candidate factors.

Compensation and Benefits

In Canada we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
