Join us in making this year’s Carnaval del Sol a fun and memorable experience by supporting event activities and engaging with attendees throughout the festival. We are looking for Event Support Assistants to help with coordination, guest engagement, and running activities such as LEGO Robotics and Arts.

Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is a registered non-profit organization committed to providing free and affordable educational services to the Vancouver Region and beyond. VRES provides online and in-person educational services for learners of all ages, including K-12, adults, and seniors.

Responsibilities
  • Run LEGO Robotics and LEGO Arts activity stations, and engage with kids and families throughout the event.
  • Greeting and directing attendees upon arrival
  • Setting up event booths, activity stations, and décor before the event begins
  • Preparing and organizing materials for activities
  • Taking photos of event highlights and activities for VRES social media channels
  • Assisting with takedown of all materials at the end of the event

July 11, 2026 and July 12, 2026

11:00 am to 6:45 pm

Qualifications
  • Minimum age: 12 years or up
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to independently commute to and arrive at the event location on time (Need help getting here? Travel costs maybe reimbursed upon request)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor event setting
  • Able to fully commit to the scheduled event timings
  • Comfortable interacting with children, family members, and community members
  • Takes initiative, follows instructions, and can work independently without close supervision
