Rigging Supervisor Animation

Position: Rigging Supervisor at Netflix Animation
Lead rigging innovation at Netflix Animation Studios in Vancouver. Seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor to create and maintain robust rigs for characters and props in animated films.

As a Rigging Supervisor, you will guide the rigging team in Vancouver, ensuring high-quality rigs integrate smoothly with our animation pipeline. Collaborating with various departments, you'll focus on delivering animator-friendly rigs while overseeing their development for characters, vehicles, and creatures. Under your leadership, foster a collaborative culture that promotes creativity and productivity among artists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise rig development for characters and props

• Collaborate with Animation and Modeling teams

• Review rigs, providing constructive feedback

• Define and refine rigging workflows and standards

• Mentor and support rigging artists and TDs

Requirements:

• 5+ years in rigging or technical discipline

• Proficiency in Maya and rig building

• Strong Python and tools development experience

• Deep understanding of anatomy and deformation

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
